The bi-monthly podcast will feature active portfolios of free-standing iSpace(for-display-in-side) sculpture, sculpture one can get up-close to, walk around in appreciation, and take a moment to ponder. My interviews with active, contemporary Sculptors will reveal the passion behind their artful 3Dimensional creations, highlight the wide array of materials and methods used, and broach the issues that swirl in the periphery.
I will draw on these encounters, my own multidiscipline sculpting experiences, my expertise in international marketing, and my spirit of innovation to advance some bold ideas and initiatives to elevate iSpace sculpture, sculptors, and sculpting to a new level resulting in more 3dimensional art being created, sold, and displayed.
Producing a quality audio/visual podcast from scratch represents a steep learning curve, so, I want to ensure I given myself adequate time.
The First episode...Casting Feu...will be posted sometime in May, 2025. It will feature the lost wax bronze casting process, patina work, and interviews with bronze artists.
The foundry is housed in an old church in a picturesque rural setting in Inverness, Quebec. During my visit to the foundry there will be ample opportunity to talk to foundry artisans, view the process, and interview fellow bronze sculptors. I will try to coordinate the finishing of one of my pieces, Feu, with this time period,
The successive bi-monthly episodes will follow a similar "discipline/venue/interviews" format.
There will be free-to-subscriber, bonus podcasts during the year on:
A registry of for-sale, iSpace sculpture coupled with a marketing and 3D-exhibition platform for the sculptors who created them.
MYD Podcast subscriber/sculptors will be able to op-in at no charge in the latter part of the year.
