Gem Stone:

I have now cut and shaped over 400 pieces of my microcrystalline quartz finds.

Silver accents:

I had decided on silver as the ideal complement for this stone and I was in the process of designing and sculpting the accents, using Silver Sculpting Clay for this purpose, however, I have looked more closely at pewter and think I will take that route.

Pewter is less expensive, easy to work with, and in todays alloy forms, wirhout lead or cadnium, carries a lasting polish without tarnish.

I hope to have some finished gemware here on the site in the summer.
